Having some credit (credit cards) is beneficial. You have to use them correctly, such as for purchase items. The thing about debit card not being able to help, I did. I was conned and I went to my bank and they filled out a visa dispute. They investigated and I got my money back. I think my only ploy is I acted immediately. Bad habits, people do have financial habits. If you look at your earnings and know the credit limit. That's why if there is a small income no point having a large credit limit. So it's based on responsible lending. My understanding, if you use them for an investment or pay upfront it's okay, but not for personal living expenses because it's not affordable.

I'm British but trying to understand the mindset American's on saving and investments. I think they have a hard time with credit, contract and a bombardment of advertising that convinces them to live a millionaire lifestyle with beerbell bottom pockets. So I don't make presumption, but you've got to ask who's getting richer? My foresight is like harvesting, keep the home that place of sanctuary. There's the investment because it's life skills, budget, forecasts and plan and save. Like I told my sister banks, finance and credit cards are not your brother. If your planing to borrow then pay it off soon as possible because using them as means to survive, then you have no money at all. It's better to prioritise and evaluate than plunge in. Down grading sometimes, if that's eating money then it's an entity, like in exosist 🤣😂
