Interesting, but tedious at times. It could have been a lot tighter. A couple of observations: 1. Jefferson was complicated, and inconsistent in some important regards. When he became President, he was much more comfortable with the idea of a strong Executive Branch. 2. It was a long time before the United States figured out how to do banking. In recent decades, we have gone backwards, in my opinion.
