  1. I’ve experienced the phenomenon once driving through the upper midwest. There was a noticeable temperature rise as I drove across a front. Another time I actually saw a wedge-shaped front as shown in your diagram, It was visible because the clouds were all on one side. The boundary was just as straight as shown in the diagram.
