  1. One of history’s great villains, I would say. He seems to have spent his entire, short adult life making war and died far from home. Then his army went home. It wouldn’t surprise me if they were responsible for his death. What did he leave besides a record of warmaking? Charles XII of Sweden was probably an admirer of Alexander the (not so) Great, although somewhat less successful as a warrior.
