  1. The Phillips is convenient, but also cams out and destroys the screw head in some circumstances. It is definitely inferior in any situation where high torque is required. I have square drivers and have used the Robertson screws for putting screws into concrete. They are the best for that application. Unfortunately, the main source for square drive screws in the USA seems to have dropped them.
