Their story is baloney. We can't hear the other side. Even if you believe it, it doesn't justify what they did, but I don't believe it. It doesn't make sense.

A home with little furniture is the mark of an ascetic or minimalist, not a psychotic.
9
Not only his oath, but the law.
4
Corruption is present in both major parties.
4
The initial straw poll is just tentative. An initial position of “not guilty” can mean that they just need some questions resolved before they convict. “Rolled over” doesn’t apply, if you believe one juror’s explanation of how the deliberation went.
4
That sounds like a correct ruling to me. I think the judge knows what is admissable.
3
He had a large knife and ambushed them.
3
"flip flops"? People change partners all the time, especially before they are married. It is normal behavior. Strictland had no commitment to Armstrong.
3
That's a huge factor. You wouldn't hold a heavy pistol high, angled down, to shoot yourself.
3
All of the testimony and all of the exhibits presented in court are evidence.
3
Not likely.
2
They should never be released. They were adults at the time of the crime. They didn't claim that their parents had it coming; they claimed they hadn't done it. Their sentence was life without parole, as they deserve.
2
The jurors decided it was proven. Only their decision counts.
2
It was late August. It would not be unusual to have the window down.
2
There is objective evidence that there was enough evidence to convict her, because she was, in fact, convicted.
2
I thought Texas was a tough state. It's crazy that the GF got off so easy.
2
Spatter on the wall cannot be explained by a nosebleed.
2
The trial has been postponed. New date not yet scheduled.
2
Not likely it was his wife. If she wanted to give him up, she would have cooperated with the detectives. It could have been someone at his business.
2
There is no evidence that they had had any previous encounters.
2
There is no evidence other than Dinh's testimony.
2
At the time of the plea deal, it was much too late to do the investigation properly.
2
Only his mother did that. It is just a Vietnamese cultural thing.
2
The wife? She could not be forced to testify against her husband. If she testified for the defense, she would have done poorly in cross examination.
2
I doubt it. She was helping him cover up the crime. She was not helpful during interrogation. If she were going to turn him in, she would have cooperated with the police to ensure she wouldn't be charged.
2
He moved the firearm because it wasn't in a place consistent with suicide.
2
The note is incorrect English. It should have been "Your bus ...," meaning "the bus belonging to you."
2
That will require a hearing with child protective services. It can't just happen automatically.
2
Why? She wasn't. Not knowingly, anyway.
2
You mean "how could he be found guilty." Whether he is or is not guilty is a fact which the jury tries to determine by considering all the evidence. As for the evidence, there must have been a lot of it, because it is stated here that the trial took four weeks. All of the testimony of witnesses is evidence. All of the exhibits accepted by the court are evidence. I think the jury got it right. When someone is stabbed that many times, it is personal. That fact, together with his incriminating computer search, is enough to convince me.
2
The only evidence of that was Dinh's testimony. He was not credible.
2
She probably did, but I doubt there is enough evidence.
2
Right. In a circumstantial case, it is the totality of the evidence that proves the crime.
2
Yes, he came across as arrogant in that interview.
2
spatter
2
“Murdock” is a legitimate pronunciation of “Murdaugh.” His given name is Richard Alexander. If he chooses to use “Alec” for short, that is his business.
2
"epitome"
2
It was Yancy Noll.
2
It isn't a mystery, just a story.
2
His mother passed in 2019 and some have said it may have been a suicide.
2
Divorce can be complicated. Fairer divorce laws would reduce this sort of thing.
2
"Start seeing someone"? They knew each other. They were already friends. People spend time with friends all the time. It's normal. There is only one person in this picture who is not normal -- Armstrong.
2
People may choose whatever name they prefer.

2
The house was in a remote area, not a city. And it was winter.
2
He said that he moved the gun. He had to think up a reason to tamper with the scene, and his reason was lame. The real reason he moved the gun was that it would have been difficult to stage the scene to make it appear that she shot herself.
2
He asked Maggie to come to the property.
2
Consider that we do not see and hear all the evidence, as jurors do.
2
It isn't supposed to be a mystery. If you want mystery, watch an Agatha Christie production.
2
Nope. His latest petition for a new trial was denied in April 2024.
