  1. This accident happened in the UK. In the USA, you have to be 21 to drink alcohol, and 18 to smoke. At least it used to be 18; I'm not sure if that is still the case. We can drive solo at 16 if properly licensed.

  2. People who run from the police like this don't suddenly start driving responsibly just because the police back off. The pursuit brought the chase to an abrupt end, which is a good thing for public safety.
