  9. The US Justice system is treating a former President of the United States as a potential criminal. There are many countries where that is unlikely to happen. I think our system is working as it should. Sometimes people do escape justice by dieing first, such as in the Enron case. That is just the breaks, not an excuse for setting aside due process.

They are conservative, and opposed to the more liberal legal theories in vogue today, but they were not supporters of Trumps brazen efforts to steal the election. Justice Scalia was an example of a Federalist Society justics. I disapproved of some of his opinions, but he was not a danger to the Republic.

Trump attacked the Congress of the United States, by proxy through his fanatical followers, and the Republican senators wouldn’t convict when he was impeached for it. They had a golden opportunity to bar Trump from federal elections and they passed.

  44. As a former President, Trump has Secret Service protection. That is the only way he has received special treatment. The Secret Service made arrangements to get him into and out of the booking facility safely and efficiently. Inside, he was booked like all the others. The Secret Service are just doing their job, not giving Trump special favors.
