  1. Boeing needs a general overhaul. Remember that after the MCAS disasters and the disgraceful attempt by CEO/Chairman Muilenburg to evade responsibility, only Muilenburg and the President of the Commercial Airplane division were fired. Current CEO Calhoun, who became Chairman while Muilenburg retained the CEO position, backed Muilenburg until it became untenable to do so. Boeing Commercial Airplanes should have been overhauled then, but clearly Calhoun was not the man to do it. The failure really belongs to the board, which needs to recognize that the problem is not merely the person in charge, but that the direction of the company is wrong.
