  1. I don’t think that is sound legal reasoning. The New Mexico statute on involuntary manslaughter states, in part “... the commission of a lawful act which might produce death in an unlawful manner or without due caution and circumspection.” It requires “due caution” of the person who commits an act with fatal consequences. There is nothing in the law which allows the “due caution” to be transferred to surrogates.

  18. I guess you haven’t been following this. The two people who were shot were setting up the camera. There should not have been any rehearsing requiring pointing the firearm toward the camera at that time. Had they been filming, there would have been no people at the camera for the scene when the firearm is aimed at the camera.
