  3. The 4-cylinder gas emgine is 150 ci and 200 hp. It has as much power and torque as the classic Chevy inline six of yore. It is enough for a midsized pickup. Most people get the V6, however.

  4. The 2nd generation started in 2015, so the rule of thumb about avoiding the first model year applies. Most of the complaints for 2nd gen Colorados pertain to the automatic transmission. I have the manual transmission and have no issues with it. It’s the best manual I’ve ever owned.
