  1. This is a bonehead proposal that should not be taken seriously by any reasonable person. What it seeks to do is make a divided nation even more divided, which no one should desire. What is overlooked is that in order to change a state boundary you would need not only a majority of both houses of Congress, you would also need the support of a majority of each affected state. I cannot imagine the citizens of Oregon agreeing to part with any of their state.
