  4. booyaah82 — I have a GM automatic transmission and have had no trouble whatsoever. The only unreliable transmission I have ever had was in a Ford.

  5. Raw Bacon — The Treasury took a loss because it chose to sell its shares in GM early. They did this because their objective of restoring the company to viability had been met. It was not an objective of TARP to make the Federal Government a player in the stock market. The direct cost to the Treasury must be balanced against the benefit to the country, which is harder to quantify.
