baloney. Boomers, as a class, are not the problem.

They aren’t necessarily motivated by religion, although some may be.

I have two engineering degrees. Engineering is a separate thing from workmanship. As applied to transmissions, “workmanship” means assembling the thing properly, in a clean environment, tightening bolts to the correct torque. Things like that. Of course the design engineer also has a concept of workmanship, but that isn’t what is meant here. When a device breaks, or doesn’t work properly, failure analysis comes down to design, materials, or workmanship.

Not recommended! This would not turn out well for anybody that tries this.

Every seller has a duty of disclosure.

I thought the temporary injuction did not imply that the judge agreed, but merely that he wanted to preserve the status quo for enough time to consider the question.
1
You mean Fiat? Not a chance.

no

Vanillin, a particular component of the vanilla bean is the same whether naturally extracted or synthesuzed, but natural vanilla contains about 20 flavor components. Synthetic vanilla lacks the flavor complexity of natural vanilla.

I don’t think the wings were delivered to school district property.

I’m ok with a jail term, but that many days seems excessive.
1
Seems like her penalty is pretty light. Is that the end of it?

I often drive with the radio off, even (especially!) on longer trips. What's wrong with just paying attention to the scenery in peace and quiet? My 2016 pickup has just the right amount of technology features in it. I'm expecting it to be the last vehicle I ever buy. I hate what they are doing to newer vehicles now.

The problem is Oregon, as in many states, is that there are too many people who belong in jail. The system is swamped.
1
It is normal for some charges to be dropped in a plea bargain.
1
The 8-speed is also, when flushed and filled with the proper fluid. The bad ones were filled with the wrong fluid. Sometimes the torque converter must be replaced as well.

I agree. I played Little League many years ago and I don’t remember any such behavior. Even in professional major league games, abuse of the umpires is not that common. When it does happen, it makes the news and gets remembered.
1
Mild complaints about the umpiring are part of the game, though. I was at one major league game at which the crowd didn’t like the ball/strike calls. When there was a break in the action, the plate umpire took the opportunity to sweep the plate with his whisk broom. The crowd applauded. That’s in the spirit of baseball.

If I did eat mac & cheese, I would make it. It isn't that hard.
1
Not likely. No law school would want a disbarred attorney on the faculty.
1
I don’t think GM said it was a “bad design.”
1
Not when when one explicitly lists “design, materials, and workmanship” as possible sources of defects. I have an engineering degree. It is normal to make this separation in failure analysis.
1
If there are CC&Rs, there is an association.

The answer about the plane ticket sounds right to me. The witness was just being truthful, which is what is required.
1
Why is his driver’s license in Massachusetts?
1
It was 11,000 cases.
1
That would be an extreme remedy, not called for in this case. It would not be worth the cost of the proceeding, which would probably fail.
1
Are there standards? If their design meets standards should there be liability? On the whole, vehicles are far safer today than they were a few decades ago. I’m wondering how these trucks got rolled over. It is better to keep your vehicle, whatever it is, upright.
1
They are a thing because some people choose them. You don’t have to.
1
My opinion is that suits like this trivialize the First Amendment. There is already a USSC opinion that allows government to regulate noise, traffic, and safety with regard to demonstrations, but not the content. I don’t have the case number handy.
1
I’ve had more problem with online fraud than with lost mail.

Reports say that other food items were ordered. Of course she would have needed a lot of Frank’s RedHot sauce.
1
Does anyone think unqualified immunity would be better?
1
This wasn’t over just a few months. Probably a couple of years. Edit: It was about a year and a half.
1
You don’t think the court knows the law in its own state? Let’s see you make a federal case out of it.
1
Possibly the height of the chimney.

HOAs are commonly like this.

This was not in Chicago.

They deserve prison. As for eBay though, I have had good esults as a buyer on eBay.
1
@dalef3583 — Not true. I visit Oregon often.
1
I do.
1
The difference is that religion is protected under the First Amendment.
1
Wouldn’t a required recall be for a safety-related defect?
1
This suit is based on the claims made by Kraft on its label.
1
I’m not sympathetic to someone who wants to get close to a police officer to record. When I see a police officer performing his or her duties, I want to steer clear. I don’t see any reason to take video unless it’s a Rodney King incident. People who just want to harass the cops are out of line, in my opinion.
1
The idea is to discourage such actions before someone is killed, not after.
1
Was it used by others before the trademark? If so, as reported, then it should be in the public domain.

Advice for living: don’t be a jerk.

That's a ridiculous award. This is why we need tort reform.

Just shooting a rifle into the air could be a violation also, but a state misdemeanor.
