  1. If it were run by Repblicans, it would be like Fort Worth, where violent crime is above the national average. Or Jacksonville, where the violent crime rate is higher than the Florida and national averages. Or Fresno, where the homicide rate is among the highest in California. Republican mayors in all those cities.
