  1. Okane — People who die of drug overdoses usually die by their own hand. They are not innocent. They also are not necessarily as large a burden on the hospitals as those with Covid19, because in most cases they are found dead.

  2. Russ Mess — He was asked about New York, that’s why he stated the obvious. The virus was not brought to NYC by illegal Chinese, it was brought from Europe. Ordinarily, many people travel between NYC and all the major European cities. The virus arrived that way before the US mobilized to try to slow the spread.

  8. DadeReamer — The CDC estimates that flu-related deaths for the season just ended are between 24,000 and 62,000. The season is six months, from Oct. 1st through Apr. 4th. These figures are from the CDC website.

  10. Berlin-Uhren24 — Where I live (SF Bay Area) people are taking it seriously. We have had it in our community for several weeks, but it isn’t out of hand yet. People are doing what they need to do to slow the spread.
