It was high concept, designed to make the founder wealthy. The fundamental idea is low concept. An office building contains offices and suites of various sizes to be rented to small companies. Those companies share a receptionist, conference rooms, a lunch room or coffee area. There is no branding of the space — the landlord doesn’t matter. That concept has been around for a long time. WW just tried to make it accessible to even smaller businesses, to appeal to them by making it hip, and to make it much, much bigger so they could make huge money off it. One problem with it is that a business with one or two people and their computers doesn’t need commercial space at all.

Holmes was prosecuted for specific frauds. What fraud are you alleging, ecactly?

I don’t see a Democrat. He’s probably libertarian.

WW owned the space, so they were facilities managers.

I don’t know where people get the notion that enterpreneurs are Democrats. They are more likely Libertarians.

Yes. Not a new idea, but trying to be more hip.

Shared office spaces have been around for a long time. They serve companies big enough to need an office, but not big enough to need their own receptionist, janitor, and conference room. I worked for a company that operated that way for a time.

You are missing that the concept was to make the founder rich, so it was a huge success.
1
Not really. A Ponzi scheme is a particular kind of fraud.
