I would not interpret this to mean that the armed services ought to initiate action in the political arena, and I hope they would see it that way also. It does mean that they should refuse to be used against the People for political purposes.

  8. We have no experience with coups in the United States. No one knows how it would play out here. Many years ago I had a college professor who said he wasn’t worried about the possibility because we have a strong tradition of military officers staying out of partisan political affairs. I hope we don’t test that.

  10. I don’t think all 70 million are hard-core deniers. I know a Trump voter who understands that Trump lost the election. There must be many others who may not like Biden but accept that he won the election.
