  2. No, Obama was the best candidate when he ran for President each time. He was the right person to be the first black President because he was up to the job. I’m not endorsing everything he did. I’m an independent and don’t give anyone blanket support.

  3. She is resigning. It doesn’t matter when it becomes effective. Perhaps as soon as an interim president is found.

  4. At its worst. “Affirmative action” was not intended to put incompetent people into jobs in order to achieve “racial” balance. It was intended to prevent qualified persons of color from being passed over because of their color.

  10. The United States has become more divided; it isn’t in one direction more than the other. There doesn’t seem to be a center anymore. Not a strong one, anyway. The extremists right and left dominate the scene.
