  1. The Withdrawal Agreement is full of things that have nothing whatever to do with trade, but are merely attempts by the EU to control or influence political matters. I don’t understand why the UK has spent years arguing about such things. Will they ever conclude this farce?

  2. Manuel Duarte — Don’t bring the USA into this. The USA is a sovereign nation. The rule in the United States is that a treaty is an act of Congress. It has the same legal status as any other act of Congress. Anything which Congress can do, it can undo, including ratification of a treaty. The United States will trade with a sovereign United Kingdom because we have been friends and allies for a long time, and because it is to our benefit to maintain good relations.

  3. Lee Licayan — Some Scots want to leave, others don’t. I’m hopeful they will come to their senses and realize that 300 years of union with England has, on the whole, been good for Scots.
