I have no sympathy for Ukraine in this conflict. Ukraine provoked the conflict by ousting a president who favored good relations with Russia, then by repealing protections for the Russian language and trying to purge Russian-speaking people from eastern Ukraine. Russia has acted to protect Russian-speaking people of easyern Ukraine and Crimea. In my opinion, it would be better for peace if Russia controlled everything east of the Dneiper.
