  1. I wouldn’t put that on my truck, which has a GDI engine. GM has products and a procedure for cleaning upper engine deposits. What I want to know is how many miles of normal driving will produce sufficient deposits to cause problems. When I notice rough engine operation, I’ll have my dealer check it and do the cleaning, if indicated.
