  2. The main reason is that some people think you should store your iron with a thin coat of oil on it. Don’t do that! I store my iron skillets clean and dry. Another reason is that some people say you should never put soap in the pan to clean it, just hot water. I usually clean with just water, but if there is grease init, or too much oil, I use dish soap to remove it. I don’t store skillets dirty and they are never sticky.

  3. We all know Texans make chili without beans, but a lot of other people do make chili with beans. There is no need to get on a high horse about it. The only essential ingredient in chili is chile. Even meat is optional. Chili with meat is chile con carne. I happen to like black beans in my chili. I don’t care what Texans think of it. Chili with no beans is good, too. Make it any way you like it.
