I don’t think that first line was a good line at all. What are “federalized troops”? That could only mean the National Guard. The “troops” used in Portland were federal police. I know that Biden has disavowed support for rioters and arsonists, but I think the Democrats have been to weak on this issue. It is one of the reasons Democrats have such hard going in national elections.
