  2. I think Mr. Gould has a good take on this. It was fairly well planned, up to a point. He hit his objective and got out of town in a hurry, apparently misdirecting the police as to his means of leaving. He thought they were looking for him in Atlanta. He was thinking he had escaped, while still hanging around in public with incriminating items in hos possession. I don't think he wanted to get caught, he was just sloppy.
