He isn't. He's just doing his job and being polite, as he should.

@jeanniebrown446 -- The first one (public defender) didn't work on the case, for the reason stated. She found an attorney to take the case pro bono right away. The second attorney worked the case for about a year, before giving up on her. The third was the same as the first (public defender), who discovered a conflict of interest. All subsequent attorneys were appointed by the court. Only one of those had a conflict of interest which orevented working on the case, so five attorneys have actually worked the case.

The judge did not remove this attorney. He set the case for trial.

Every person accused of a serious crime is entitled to an attorney and a jury trial.

I doubt there will be any kind of plea deal, but she will certainly get credit for time served.
1
This judge is new to the case. the previous judge moved on.
1
He set a trial date. He will read her complaints and he may hold a hearing on them.
1
She must have put him in there when he was passed out.
1
Five, substantively.

This attorney is not a public defender. The public defender never worked on this case, due to conflict of interest.
1
She is a court-appointed attorney, not a public defender.
1
Has she asked to represent herself?
1
Eight is not the correct number, for one.
1
"Insane" means not responsible for her conduct. She is not insane.
1
I do not think she has asked to represent herself.
1
Has she asked to defend herself?

They keep padding the attorney numbers to make it seem even worse than it is. One attorney (the office of the public defender) is counted twice, because when first assigned to the case, withdrew a day later not having worked on the case. When assigned again after her first attorney (who worked the case for a year) withdrew, a conflict of interest was discovered. The public defender never worked on the case. One court-appointed attorney also had a conflict of interest, so never worked on the case. Thus the count they keep reporting is three more than it should be.

Actually, the fifth.
1
@jeanniebrown446 -- Two attorneys had conflicts of interest. Four withdrew because they couldn't work with Boone.
1
She can argue for a reduced sentence based on mitigating circumstances.
1
Has she asked to represent herself?
1
She does have a right to be present.
1
She is actually on her fifth. The numbers are hyped.
