  5. agung prasetyo — The number of flying hours doesn’t have much to do with the thoroughness of the test procedures. They just need sufficient time to run their test procedures. They won’t just be waiting for a fault to occur, they will be emulating faults.

  6. vincent chiong — It can fly with MCAS disabled. They couldn’t tell the pilots to switch off the horizontal stabilizer trim power if it weren’t safe to fly without it.

  7. VIgnesh S — Do you mean in the initial certification? Clearly the overlooked something then, but the revised system will be thorougly tested. More likely, they will emulate faulty sensors rather than use defective ones.
