  2. This accident does not appear to be due an inherent defect in the aircraft, but to workmanship at some point in production. That is not a reason to end production of the plane.

  4. This incident was not the same as the DC-10 incidents. I think they had to redesign the door mechanism on the DC-10. That isn’t required here.
