  1. Chris Isaksson — Baloney. There is no problem with the airframe and engines. This is entirely a software problem. MCAS was added to compensate for the increased takeoff thrust of the new engines by adding stabilizer trim in certain situations. The only purpose was to give the MAX controls a feel similar to the NG in order to avoid a new type certification requirement. The problem is, the software was botched.
