  1. The woman is the one talking the least, but making the most important point. The problem is that MCAS overrides the pilot’s intentions, which is contrary to Boeing’s traditional philosophy.

  2. K Me — Yes, she is right. The new engines were chosen to improve efficiency of the aircraft. It does have more thrust — the guy who said it doesn’t is wrong.

  4. I don’t believe this “center of gravity” angle. All engines mounted under the wing, below the center of gravity, will tend to rotate the aircraft nose up. Aircraft have a trim system to compensate for this. Because the Max engines are more powerful, the effect is greater, so MCAS was added to assist in trimming the aircraft.
