  1. Boeing’s excellent record should have nothing to do with whether or not a criminal investigation is opened. The DOJ must have a reason to believe a crime may have been committed in order to open an investigation, in which case they should.

  3. fruit — Airbus has had similar problems. Ironically, these crashes have reinforced Boeing’s traditional design philosophy that pilot inputs should have priority over computers. Boeing went wrong by doing things as Airbus does.
