  2. I don’t think she said physicians were always right. Physicians themselves know they aren’t. That’s why when they make a diagnosis of a serious condition, like cancer, it is reviewed by another specialist routinely.

  7. I have a graduate computer science degree and I’m good with all of this. I was never interested in A.I. though, so I don’t know what those people think.

  8. ⁠ @AssailantLF — That is not a good comparison. I’m a (retired) software engineer. We don’t look at the binary code to understand a program, we look at the code in the high-level language in which it was written. I’ve deciphered binary code a few times in my career on a very small scale. It isn’t significant.

  9. “Black box” doesn’t mean nobody can know, it just means that you don’t have to know how it works in order to use it. There are countless black boxes in modern life.
