  1. This was a great story. I'm impressed with how you were able to start from such humble beginnings and rise to the top of a field as difficult as physics. I went to school in a small district, but there were about a hundred in each class. The high school did have a chemistry and physics lab. We didn't have calculus, but my senior math teacher gave me a self-study beginning calculus course to help me get started before college. I guess I had more advantages than I realized at the time.
