  3. Ironic coincidence — The “cactus plate” is actually for holding jewelry. A while back I was traveling and in a beach town, thinking I would like to take something home for my wife. But everything for sale at the beach for gifts is junk! A female clerk in the nicest junk gift store was trying to suggest something, and trying really hard, but kept coming up with junk, until she showed me the beach version of the cactus plate — a starfish plate! (jewelry dish). I knew instantly it was a good gift, and it was.
