  2. mytube0969 — Marine biologists have been mapping the ranges of fish for a long time. If the range were expanding northward, they would know it. It isn’t a matter of just whether they have been sighted, but how frequently they are sighted. Fish populations are affected by water temperature, which is easy to measure. It is known that ocean temperature is increasing, so it is not at all surprising that some marine populations would expand northward in response.
