  1. I agree it should not be an issue in this campaign, but people ought to know that only one President has taken guns away from citizens in large numbers, and he was a Republican.

  2. I don't understand how some people seem to think government can compel anything. At this stage, Trump is just a private citizen who has the same right to speak or not speak in any forum that any other citizen has.

  3. She is intelligent and competent. She is an effective communicator. She has worked her way to the top, in her legal career and in politics, becoming an attorney, then a District Attorney, then Attorney General of a state, then a Senator, and now Vice President of the United States. She is an appropriate age for the Presidency. The most crucial factor, though, is that Donald Trump is a threat to the Republic and Harris is not. Harris herself has what it takes to explain to the people why she should be President and Trump should not.

  4. The Republican Party leaders have no backbone. They know Trump has hurt the Republican Party and the nation, but they don't know what to do about him. I expect there are a few sane Republicans who are quietly hoping that Trump is buried, politically, in this election so that they can begin to repair the damage.
