I know everyone feels that the West's slow response time is foolish and frustrating and costing lives, but I think there is merit to the idea of slowly introducing weapons to avoid Putin flying into a rage and doing something particularly stupid. Ultimately I hope we do provide fighter jets, and longer ranged missles, and anything else they need. I just worry that the victory we need is on an exceptionally fragile path

  15. In many ways that is correct. Some US equipment can have some features remotely disabled if they dont want it used the way it is being used, but ultimately it is up to Ukraine to plan and execute it's own approach to defending itself. With that said, the US intelligence and evaluations are paramount to Ukraine's success, and the relationship the two countries have is one of cooperation

  41. The loss rate is close to 10 to 1 in favor of Ukraine. Additionally, if they can break down the Russian lines effectively enough, they can use the new weapons to threaten Russian installations all winter long in ways that they could not before

  44. It's hard to imagine criticizing the US for "abandoning" Afghanistan after it spent an extra decade there trying to help it when they wouldn't even help themselves. A far more legitimate criticism, in my opinion, is why we bothered to stay for so long... India is a kind of full of sht on that one
