When the first movie came out I was so excited for a former storm trooper to potentially become a jedi and maybe to solve some fights with the faceless cannon fodder by humanizing them. And then they made him into the stereotypical, "black guy who the studio made us include but we really don't like." Johnson did him dirty. He tried so hard to be feminist that he managed to just be racist. If they had just focused on writing well we wouldn't have had Rey be a reviled Mary Sue and Finn being a hapless clown. Such a waste. I want my Knights of Ren brainwashed from Rogue One and my inspirational jedi Finn back.
