  1. Chinese manufactured critical infrastructure is best described as a White Elephant. It's mind-boggling expensive and can't really be used for anything of value. Belt and Road victims should have an easier time convincing the international community that they should be discharged of all debts to China than they do when trying to get out of repaying IMF bailouts. The question will be whether China's collateral demands hold up in courts or not when the countries default.
