Like most fans I was skeptical of Cavill at first but his threading the needle of portraying the book and game versions of Geralt was the only reason I was willing to give the Netflix Witcher a shot. I hated all the dumb changes they made and the only other decent casting was Jaskier, Mousesack, Vesemir, and the dang horse. You would have thought Snyder's abortion of a Superman movie and the nightmare that was Assassin's Creed would have taught studios that having writers who hate the source material was suicide. The fact that the Netflix writers saw Rings of Power take a dump on fans and decided that slapping fans in the face was for pikers is beyond stupid. Either the Witcher hater writers get defenestrated or the Netflix Witcher goes down the memory hole along with the low-budget Polish TV adaptation that Sapkowsky hated so much.
