@grapeshot NO. One is correct. One is not. GROW UP.

@haleykay163 NO. It's called correctness. NOT understanding is very immature.

user-nh8pz9vj9c NO. When language is wrong, it can lead to war.

Sir Scary Interesting, Your ability to find truth and to follow leads is unique. I am hoping that it's all true. Because there's NO WAY a 3m x3m raft just suddenly appears out of nowhere. Would like to know from where it appeared. Would also like to see how you researched the story. M 🦘🏏😎

I DID NOT KNOW that the American indians made human sacrifices. That's HORRIFIC! 😮😮 I always thought they were more advanced than that... Bears are truly amazingly powerful animals. It's incredible that Hugh survived the attack at all. Getting back to the Fort is insane! 👍😁 This story seems like it will be a mystery forever. A pity, because it's extraordinary!!! M 🦘🏏😎
2
Omar's dog knew where he was... M 🦘🏏😎
2
Taking on Mother Nature is ALWAYS a risky venture... Captain Otto seems to have been an intelligent and wise bloke. Amazing rescue effort by all! Great result. 👍 The ARCTIC must remain undeveloped. M 🦘🏏😎
2
The radio station's attitude of "No worries - for us. They've all signed waivers..." is truly horrific. The other two stories were just men being stoopid. We men can be pretty good at that sometimes. M 🦘🏏😎
2
The Snaefell Mine is a seriously large mine for the time. Miners really have to be brothers in arms... An extraordinary story! 😮 Well done on reaching the ONE MILLION SUBS mark! 👍😁 Very much deserved. M 🦘🏏😎

VICTORIA, despite its ongoing efforts, has NEVER 'caught up' to NSW... 😁 Going into the "unknown" is never easy for any explorer. The Burke & Wills exploration / expedition is known in Australia as a 100% complete disaster. On all levels. No knowledge, no experience, no science and no idea. These crucial details in your video show great research and add to what is already known. Thank you. 👏👏👏👍 M 🦘🏏😎

@ 20:13 Smoking cigarettes on the way up to the roof of the world? 😲 Sheer madness. But INTREPID doesn't even go half-way to describing the commitment of these valiant explorers. The local porters especially so... Thank you for an important slice of human history. 🙏 M 🦘🏏😎

You don't need a written history to be a 'civilisation'. So that's a wrong assumption from the start of the video. Spoken and aural histories work too. Cannibalism is not only immoral and utterly evil, it's also very bad for the human digestive and nervous systems. M 🦘🏏😎

Domestic Violence is completely unacceptable and a CRIME. Nations and "culture" and alleged 'religion' are never a defence of any kind. A body found inside an oven in a kitchen is "accidental" death? Utter INSANITY. How could the Finnish justice system be so broken? 😮 Drugs and freezing cold are NEVER a healthy combination. M 🦘🏏😎
1
Truth indeed is stranger than fiction! ☺👍 Astonishing tale of survival... 😮 The people of Cephalonia were extremely brave. M 🦘🏏😎
1
Why do people have to DIE before dangerous places are closed to so-called 'adventurers'? M 🦘🏏😎

I love solitude. Always have. M 🦘🏏😎

Three more extraordinary stories. Thank you! 👍😁 M 🦘🏏😎

One morning years ago, after a very big night the night before, I went down to the beach from the friend's beach house are group of us were staying at on the NSW mid north coast. I went for a swim in the surf - the only person at all on the unpatrolled beach... Before I knew it, a massive rip had taken me hundreds of metres out to sea. To this day, I still don't know how I managed to save myself. M 🦘🏏😎

Strange events happen all too often, but the fog of war covers many things... How can a 'random intruder' be inside a church and carrying an ICE PICK? 😱 M 🦘🏏😎
1
And I thought a cornice was only an internal ceiling decoration... Absolute tragedy. 😢 The "Kenji" story needs more investigation using modern techniques, it seems. M 🦘🏏😎
1
Still waters run deep indeed! 😮😮 A truly frightening cave... The Father and Son both dying is a tragedy. Going cave diving after suffering underwater blackouts is crazy... M 🦘🏏😎
1
Some AMAZING artwork used in this video. Well done! 🤗👍 What an awful story... 😮 (BTW, the correct word is "DELIRIUM", not 'deliriousness'.) M 🦘🏏😎
1
Some of us humans really do like shiny ✨ things, don't we? Demand creates value. It seems it always takes a disaster for the appropriate rules to be put in place for companies... M 🦘🏏😎
1
Why would ANY sane person want to live on the atoll? What was guano actually worth, back in those days? No amount of money would make me go there... What a truly astonishing story! 😲👍 It's amazing that the women were healthy enough to be able to actually carry a child for full term... Thank you. 👏 M 🦘🏏😎

Why? How useless are you?

@ 0:24 "Northern Outback" Mate, as an all-but lifelong Aussie, I have to share TWO things here. 1. There is no such thing as the 'Northern Outback'. It's just The Outback. 2. The nearest coastline to The Outback would be in southern SOUTH AUSTRALIA. So the picture is incorrect. Please check a map of Australia to see what I mean. Thanks. 🙏 M 🦘🏏😎

AS ALWAYS, the question of WHY arises... If people must go caving, why not do it AS SAFELY AS POSSIBLE??? 😮😮 Surely "Counsellors" have a 100% LEGAL DUTY OF CARE? APPLY THE RULE OF LAW. The first thing to do is CALL IN the experts... M 🦘🏏😎
1
Follow the bouncing ball? OMG. A little game of fetch 'kills' FOUR! 😨 M 🦘🏏😎
1
Gotta love the SLAVE TRADE. So lawful, moral, ethical and not driven by ignorance, greed and exploitation... 👿 SARCASM! M 🦘🏏😎
1
Some people can be truly horrific. Who kills a little boy and throws the body in a quarry? Only a monster! 👺 M 🦘🏏😎
1
"Bermann" was certainly meticulous. And mysterious... What an amazing collection of stories! 😲 Well done and thank you. 🤗👍 M 🦘🏏😎
1
Submarines are nasty. I hope any person brave enough to work in one is paid well. I'd like to know the survival rate for submariners. Did the SRC not send down oxygen with each descent? 🤔 M 🦘🏏😎
1
These tales are truly baffling and utterly mesmerising. I really enjoy these videos! 👍☺ Thank you for all the research and effort you put in. 👏 M 🦘🏏😎
1
Douglas Legg was only 50m from his home? 😲 Someone had to be laying in wait for him in a hidden spot... A kidnapping & ransom gone wrong maybe? M 🦘🏏😎
1
Brave? Foolhardy? Unlucky? The expedition was certainly intrepid... What an utterly horrific experience for all the men. 😮 M 🦘🏏😎
1
Very CREEPY indeed! 😲 Thanks for all the amazing stories you share with us. Wishing you a very Happy New Year! 😊❤ Looking forward to more of your scary tales in 2024. 😃 M 🦘🏏😎

The Aussie "RATS OF TOBRUK" were CRUCIAL to stopping Rommel in Africa. But they were brilliant ground troops and didn't fly in Liberators. Thank goodness. Taking off and dealing with a sandstorm would be horrific. 😮 But being lost in the Sahara is far worse - especially without provisions... M 🦘🏏😎
1
Inexperience. No matter what you do, ALWAYS dive with a buddy. ALWAYS. "Don't Split The PARTY." The oldest lesson ever. Risks are good - sometimes... M 🦘🏏😎
1
Well, The Great Lakes together make up a very large mass of water! 🌊 They can and do generate their own weather. This really was a total disaster... 😮 Amazing retelling of such a tragic tale. 👍 M 🦘🏏😎
1
Surely bushwalking / hunting are similar to scuba diving in one way - you MUST always take a buddy or two with you? In case of unexpected events. Poachers? I guess there's no honour amongst thieves... M 🦘🏏😎
1
Abusing a person all their young life and then they suddenly turn into a sociopath? That's NOT they way it works... Were any of the men charged? @ 4:34 "Burglarised" has always astounded me. It's such awful use of the English language. The correct word of course is "ROBBED". As usual though, the depth of research and clarity of presentation are excellent. We're all glad that Danny is locked away... M 🦘🏏😎
1
@jerryhutchison8952 OXYGEN is even more important. Smoking is moronic.
1
The Kiwi train disaster is truly horrific. The timing of the impact of the lahar is ridiculous. The rope rescue effort is wonderful. 👍 M 🦘🏏😎
1
And of course NONE of these stories include disasters like wars, plague, malaria, COVID and other disease events and regular mass shootings EVERY day in modern, gun-stupid USA. This list also doesn't include natural disasters like earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis, and not even the human error of the Titanic sinking amongst others. So they're not really the "worst". They're just a few really bad one-off events. And there's the 1977 Tenerife airport disaster, in which two Boeing 747s collided. Not mentioned. 👎 FAIL. M 🦘🏏😎
1
No law or regulation applied to all workers at the time. NO LAW. It's only with deaths and disasters from workplaces did law makers realise the truth of the AVARICE of the Fat Cats. NOTHING HAS CHANGED. And it's now 2024. M 🦘🏏😎
1
Horrific. It seems it used to take a total tragedy to make or change regulations so that people don't get put in danger unnecessarily. Both Captains made ridiculous and erroneous decisions... Building a hygienic and efficient waste system of course is essential for any city. M 🦘🏏😎
1
The story of Fet Matts is as astounding as it is incredible from a scientific point of view. How on earth did you research it? 😲 Superbly done. Why would a person take sleeping pills and not pain killers if they're going to set themselves on fire? It's got to be murder... M 🦘🏏😎
1
These horrific events show that there really are some truly awful people on this planet. Thankfully they are rare. Amazing research about unreal stories. 👍 M 🦘🏏😎
