  1. One morning years ago, after a very big night the night before, I went down to the beach from the friend's beach house are group of us were staying at on the NSW mid north coast. I went for a swim in the surf - the only person at all on the unpatrolled beach... Before I knew it, a massive rip had taken me hundreds of metres out to sea.
