Other higher degrees also require similar efforts. 'Titles' are conferred accordingly on successful completion. But, the REAL story here is the FAILURE of the US EDUCATION SYSTEM to educate its people broadly and deeply enough so that they are NOT afraid of or surprised by a non-medical doctor.
