Maby you are right about the US being a exceptional state, but maby you could also consider that not as something positive, your freedom is exceptional, made possible by the crimes the state did, so we (EU is part of it) could gain wealth and freedom to do our stuff without making our hands dirty. Should we abandon it? No, but red pilling also means, to reconsider the old US values, it is not based on moral highgrounds. We are not that exceptional in history…
