@elizabethferguson7002 ohhhhhh it'll be my pleasure! Pets act as a kind of barometer on a person's character. Having a pet shows a person is capable of compassion, empathy, love, and many other platitudes that describe a basis for humanity but most of all mercy. Most former Presidents had Pets. They found time to give it proper care, love andddd attention. Millions of Americans have Pets in some firm or another. Many for companionship others for therapeutic reasons. Pets show loyalty and devotion and they return it unconditionally. They don't ask for a "loyalty test" and oath of fealty. If a person is capable of carrying for a pet it shows they are capable of putting something else before themselves. Joe Biden was seen walking around the white house grounds the other day with his wife while wearing blue jeans and had a cup of coffee in his hands. He walked over to a reporter and gave the coffee to her. When have you EVER seen Trump mingle into a crowd or act as a normal, everyday guy? You never saw him just walk up to normal people in an outdoor setting and give them a hug while he's dressed in jeans or a sweater. It shows you his contempt for regular people and his lack of empathy. He didn't even show he has basic American ideology by having something as simple an as basic as having a pet. Think about that for a minute.

@elizabethferguson7002 absolutely not. I think we're like ships passing in the night. I don't disagree with you at all. I made a point about Presidents and pets and millions of people who own them. Pets don't automatically translate into a dog. Caring for a living, breathing creature other then a another human is different, don't you agree? You haven't really addressed the overall point I made about Trump and his lack of empathy and the related issue of owning and Caring for something else. Do you agree or not that people who do own pets tend to show their ability to care for something else , rather it be a cute puppy or a parrot 🦜? Don't you agree that it shows their capable of being a good decent human being more then the size of your bank account?
