@nancybbailey1975 you're confused. No president has ever had that authority since (get this) the constitution clearly states that the power of the purse resides with the congress, which, by the way, has already submitted the budget for all the states. Look it up.

@Jan-hx9rw Former army recruiter here. Had hundreds of mentally and physically fit prospects who couldn't go in because they had moral issues. They couldn't join because they had a criminal record. How is it that any of us are ok with having a convicted felon as the commander in chief? Why does he get a pass, but those hundreds of other people who wanted to serve are denied? Make that make sense.

@JosephTroncale The strategy is simple, throw dozens of policies and executive orders at the country to overwhelm the system. The courts can't keep up, and the Republican party has caved to the whims of one person. We are being inundated with false ideas and practices, which are the basics of how totalitarianism rises. In the grand scheme of things, this is not a strong man but weak.

@Collager they are now ignoring a federal judges order to resume payments on foreign aid. Why does he get a pass to break the law while telling a governor they better obey his executive orders?

@Collager its something when 40 out of 44 of his former cabinet declined to endorse him. Some resigned prior to his leaving office in disgrace. What's also a first, is that no other president has run for the office again after losing the first time. He declared his candidacy over 2 years out from the election (no one has done that before), and then skipped every debate for the nomination.

@Collager Even now, there are raids being held at court houses to take into custody migrants who are playing by the rules and reporting as directed to their appointments with attorneys. People doing it "the right way" are being arrested. There's already talk of going underground and the government losing track of millions of migrants who are trying to find legitimate work (we need their help) on farms. These aren't criminals like he's talking about, but people easier to take into custody and claim they are keeping campaign promises. How is this making us "safer?" That's a rhetorical question.
