Why isn't raising taxes on all of those new billionaires even in the discussion? Why are they always going after the middle and lower classes?

ever notice no one talks about the military? It gets a guaranteed $800 BILLION DOLLARS EVERY YEAR. Imagine what that money could do to our country if EVERY State got a even share.

@choomanfoo157 so what do you call it when money is taken from the poor and given to the rich? Entitlement? Of course only poor people think like this, why would the rich? Don't talk about "fair taxing" when you have don Trump and Warren Buffet paying less in taxes then house cleaners! What you and others like you pretend to know is that the relationship between rich and poor is symbiotic. Rich people build cities only to have the poor put up homeless encampments around the city they built. Rich people build homes and restaurants and God knows other things, only to hope poor people use those things. How many rich people died of covid? Poor? Do you think covid have a damn about your bank account? I always think of rich people as the people who want to die rich. so they hide their money and don't live to their full potential. They are very upset when someone charges them with fraud, money laundering, tax evasion, insidet trading, etc. The poor can hit you over the head at the ATM and run off with your ... what, $20 dollars; while a white collar business owner can create havoc for entire communities with criminal behavior. Bernie Maddoff comes to mind. Or many other criminal CEO's. The United States needs to implement a substantial tax on the rich who decide to instead of paying higher taxes they run to another country to protect their HANDOUTS from the government. We should make them pay a "depatriation tax" when then run to another country and force them to renounce their American citizenship and surrender their passport. They are not Patriots to this country, they are home bred greedy scumbags.

@markl762 Reread my post. I didn't say anything about helping the middle class by raising taxes on those who have benefited the most from tax cuts. Can you actually not understand why the wealthy should be paying more in taxes then cutting programs for people who may be living off of them? But you're the same people who scream about homeless encampments in cities.

@markl762 If you disagree then you're either misinformed or deliberately being mislead. I got a tax cut as well. It was less then $200.00. The only thing that's a guarantee with Republicans is that they love tax cuts. Never mind that those policies explode the deficit and then a Democrat has to come along and fix their mess. If the wealthy pay so much in taxes, why are they complaining when they are making more money then ever before? There are many more billionaires now then at any time in history. Why is it that half of the top 10 richest people in the world are in the United States? You think that's due to hard work? That's due to governmental policies, hiding money in off shore accounts, and charities that greatly benefit their tax base. Please explain how Trump and Buffet pay less taxes than their house keepers and hotel cleaners.

@KRGruner a significant portion of that debt occurred between 2017 and 2020. The debt ceiling was raised 3 times without negotiations. There was a tax cut in that time as well and it was sold by saying it would create so much job growth and pay for itself in no time. riiight
