if what you say about democrats living status is true why don't you ask yourself why? Do you truly believe Democrats like living in rentals or being dependent upon the government? Why aren't they in their own homes or running global businesses or going to the top universities or etc etc.? You want to know why? Maybe you don't, but many are systemically kept on those levels by the very people who are now working overtime to limit access to the ballot box and to maintain the status quo. They are kept there in perpetuity by the same kind of people who attacked the US Capital. The same people who watch tucker Carlson as he is allowed to spread lies and outrage for profit. The same people who shop at Lowe's and Home Depot and Macy's. THAT is the systemic racism that exists in this country and allowed to fester by people who are dead set on keeping their power by creating 'redlined' districts and GHETTOS. Then turn around and say things like, "Democrats live in rentals ", "Democrats are lazy and love to leech off the Government", "Democrats are second class citizens, that's why you don't see them in police uniforms".

If not, you're a part of the problem and according to your last post, not willing to accept responsibility for the status of millions of Americans. It's the person who claims, "I'm not a racist, I have black friends" who are the people that refuse to see the truth of the matter. You have some serious nerve to quote MLK as if you were there marching side by side with them as they bled and were beaten and gassed. As they were denied services based upon the color of their skin. If white people didn't do it, then who? How do you think a country like the US became so rich and powerful so fast? The usage of the "peculiar institution" of holding people in chains for centuries and the hoarding of wealth from free labor led to that. Believe what you want, but that wasn't by choice! You won't believe this nor do you want to but there are more young black males between the ages of 18 and 26 attending college then there are in the Criminal Justice system. How would you not know that? Because it's not a subject that makes good press. A young black man robbing a liquor store makes better press and its those topics that people like you seize upon. Where are the black and brown judges? The black and brown entrepreneurs, lawyers, surgeons, physicists, Astronauts? Why don't those people make the news on right wing propaganda networks? It doesn't sell. These people exist in large numbers but you don't mention them, you focus on the low life but not the 'poor white trash' that dominates White America. The "poorly educated" that helped win the white house. None of them attacked the capital, it was the well off of the race. The retirees, the entrepreneurs, the well educated. Think about that. People who have all that the American Dream could bestow upon anyone are the people most unhappy with it. They are not seeing their children on news reels being summarily executed by people sworn to protect them, instead they killed them with the symbol of America (the flag) on the steps of the capital. You talk about black kids (who have lost hope in that dream) after seeing video after video of people who look like them being unarmed and shot by no one who looks like them. Yet you say for them to "make better choices" as if you know each and everyone of their stories. Why do you think there are single parents in one neighborhood but not others? Where do you get this from? If it's true why is that? You think it's a coincidence that men are missing from their children's lives? You don't think it's a coincidence that the majority of prisoners are dads from these neighborhoods though? You think it's "by choice" that men want to go to prison and leave their women and children behind. That says more about you then you know.

@federalistpapers4523 what makes my words irrelevant or for that matter irrational? Being black in color doesn't mean you're a black man. There's a couple of words for people like you in the black community. I also am a successful black man who was raised in the streets of the projects but went to school (2 Masters) and live in a nice neighborhood with multiple expensive toys. The difference is my "friends" are still my friends from back in the day. Yes they did and used drugs. Yes they served time and paid for their mistakes. Why you assume I am of low means and a failure is how you seem to view most of "our" race. Do you even get nervous when the police pull you over? Do you think your education or current status in life will somehow get you off? Are you still "friends" with the ones who steal and use and sell drugs or have you gotten to a place that you can forget about them? Do you look down on them if you ever visit? Has what you've done with your life made you happy... now? Many black in color people try to forget where they came from when they get to where they're going. They think they are better then those they left behind. I too have been called derogatory names because I've moved up and out, the difference between us is that I still call my old friends friend and I remind them that I'm from the streets everytime I visit the neighborhood. You can think you've changed your stripes but at the end of the day you're just another nig in many eyes for whom you think you are equal. There are people reading this thread and agreeing with me that think you're something that you're not. I am disgusted with people who want to pull the door closed after they've stepped through. Who think they're better then the next guy. Let me enlighten you to a fact; you're not. You're living in a world where you will NEVER be excepted. You are the exception my oreo bud not the rule. You're just swimming in a world of milk and don't realize you eventually go to the bottom.

You are more disgusted with yourself then anything else. I hit a nerve. Good. It seems someone had to put you in your place since you obviously don't see how F'ed up you really are. Material things are your measure of success, while mine is the direct and indirect impact my actions have on my family, my neighbors and my community. I am the one who's door is knocked on by an neighbor in need. My phone is the one that rings when a friend is in trouble. My shoulder is the one a hurt family member cries upon when in pain. It's my table that hopes and dreams and laughs are shared with friends, family and neighbors. Compared to that, what are you?

What makes you think or for that matter believe a Democrat is a 2nd class citizen? How many Democrats have you actually been in contact or conversations with? Obviously you don't realize how this country or the world works. Let me be a sport and enlighten you. If you're an employee you get paid for doing a job by your boss. If you're an entrepreneur you get paid by the customers who frequent your business but you are dependent upon the banks, shareholders, creditors, loan companie, suppliers, etc. to help keep you afloat. If you're working in any level of Government you get paid by taxpayers at every level. My bottom line to you Mary, is that everyone is an dependent upon someone. How exactly does that make you 2nd class though? You assume that only Republicans own businesses and only Democrats work at those businesses. You are about as wrong as can be. There are literally millions of liberals who are millionaires and billionaires. There are millions of (in your opinion) poor white trash who work for those liberals. The US Military is made up of the most diverse types of people in the world, do you think they are 2nd class people? Liberals who wear police uniforms, doctors garb, Lawyer, Judge, Professors, professional athletes, politicians, etc. are all of these people 2nd class citizens? If that's the case, then, what exactly is it that you do to feed your family, pray tell.
