  35. That's why we miners stood up to this tyranny in 1984, then they removed our employment, our right to be, and desecrated our villages, but we knew what they were up to, said no, and fought for truth, freedom and dignity. It was nevertheless still a shock for our home towns being turned into a totalitarian state, although the rest of the nation did not see that, but I with other miners and innocent folk did. Since then, these vagabonds have gained great momentum, but the irony is not lost on the enlightened that all this means is, they will very, very soon hit the wall that much harder. I shall not relish this moment, for it is pitiable; and many bystanders will be dragged into this monstrous storm of terrifying proportions. Thus then, as we nurse the wounds of passivity that permitted the conscience, senses and rights of the working and liberal classes to be dulled, lulled and nulled, we shall recall the immortal words of Sir William Wallace who tired of the tyranny cried out 'run and you'll live – at least a while. And dying in your beds many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take our freedom. Aye, if only people's eyes had been more open in those days of the miner's strike, as my heart tells me that was the Last Stand of the Voice of Morality that inspires trust, and is full of love, genuine love, despite the antics of a few of the more extreme unionists, for behind them lay the courage and truth of the hard-working backbone of the once great British nation, sunk almost as fast, and without trace, as the Belgrano. Now, our hearts lay buried at the bottom of the deepest ocean, deeper than the South Atlantic, where the hearts of the many Argentinians lay entombed. And our entombment is the ocean of lies, corruption, greed, and lust for power that prevails society now, all the more so in the upper echelons of power and govt, where statesmanship, morality and truth have become a swear words that impels our leaders to draw the Crucifix of their God, SATAN! Awaken then to his ways, and do not let our modern woes and crooked leaders drag you down with them, for only Truth will prevail, for it is eternal, which is more than I can say for capitalism, corporatism, and tyranny!

  46.  @ciganyweaverandherperiwink6293  By the way, it doesn't feel right now with the Queen gone. I ask myself why that is? I don't think Charles has the charisma, love or backbone that his parents, and their parents, had. It also feels like a non-event somehow, as though he has waited so long, the prize was out-of-date, and had gone stale. It's simply a role to him, which he feels entitled to. He clearly and greatly enjoys his new role and extra power, but I think it is only his vanity, again, which has driven him to take the Crown, and have his lady friend 'Queened'. She is no Queen, and never was, and it all looks fake and sad, much faker than when Di was alive, who would have made a great Queen. Camilla looks lifeless, and again as though it was her divine right to be crowned Queen! It would have been better for the Nation if he had passed the Crown onto his eldest son, although he's institutionalised too and a bit of a twerp, and he had carried on with his charity work behind the scenes, helping his lad settle in with the occasional words of wisdom, before he follows in his mother's footsteps...into the great beyond, for as you said, he's not the youngest. Indeed, when I reflect upon it, it feels as though an abrupt end has come to the Royal Crown, and although Kate has fitted in like a glove with all her attendances and charity work; it feels like a show, and as though much of this is done to ensure their future entitlements. With the Queen, and her Mother, you could see love in their eyes, and a genuine desire to serve; I do not see that now, although they say the right things! Thus, this is the end of an epoch, and all I see in one ending after the other as we enter wars and holocausts, sadly. Then, when all the dust has settled, I see a new epoch, when once again, Royalty will be aligned to God's Will, and so all Kings and Queens will be Chosen Ones, as it should be!!!

  47.  @ciganyweaverandherperiwink6293  Thank you. I sense many people, especially the older ones, are going through a mish mash of emotions too, just as I am, unable to articulate these feelings, and their roots. It's clear our nation has changed, and the people, here within it its shores and boundaries, too. Most, if not all of our emotions are likely linked to loss; which begs the question, what did we lose. I can only touch on these losses here, but where we sense grief, then clearly we have loved, or been attached in some way, usually to an endearing quality, through something, or somebody, but that somebody imbues influence o'er us through inherent characteristics, so really all losses are within, and emotional. There was the nature of the people, who won two wars, endured death and destruction, and rations, the second war against an evil tyrant, large masses of people learned to read and write, and develop a voice to improve society, and became enjoined in various institutions, such as the Co-op movement, the WEA, the NCB, and others; as nationalised industries and commodities forged a strong backbone for the country. Health and safety, and poverty, were addressed within communal settings, and we had gone through a time when people did not complain about their hardships much, for they knew they had to pull together in the face of common enemies. And for a time this voice, or conscience of the nation, which I think the Queen empathised with, made for a better world, a world with hope of greater prosperity, and above all, harmony and peace. Since Mrs T came to power in the late 70's and 80's, much of this collective care for our society has been badly eroded, and replaced by invisible enemies of the 'state', who bit by bit are bleeding us dry, and doing what the Germans could not do, killing our spirits. Hence, with the Queen went many of our last hopes of a better future, and the grief and sadness from those days of hardship and toll, when many lost their lives in the war, or toiled in arduous and dangerous conditions in coal mines, and steel works. They learned to live day to day, hour to hour, and were usually happy to share their last crumbs with neighbours, who could be trusted so highly that people actually left their doors open for them. This community spirit has been dissolved, and many a virtue have gone with this loss; thus we sense the void, the emptiness, the vacuum...which only true spiritual companionship can bring, even in the most difficult of conditions. And the root of all these high values, honourable virtues, and steely strength comes from the one source.......the Love, the Creator's Love. And now we are disconnected from this through different ways and motives, we feel the loneliness, the emptiness, the nothingness, the futility, the lack of purpose and meaning...in untold grief of whose origin we fumble in the dark to identify; for even when the light shineth in the darkness; the darkness seeth it not. Thus, those who can distinguish the losses of our spirits, it is their responsibility to rekindle this warmth, strength and love through good thoughts and deeds, and as a shepherd would, create a protective shield and pen for the many lost sheep... in an oasis of wisdom and peace that attracts from within, not from without. Then every man becomes free from any entanglements, and even a beggar can be a King, and even a King be a natural human being, without the many false, acquired forms of habit that suffocate his spirit, causing him to scream aloud in a place of chaos and confusion, for clarity only comes to the earnest seeker; for so as ye seek, so shall ye find!

  49.  @ciganyweaverandherperiwink6293  PART ONE...last few messages, as there is a reason for this as you will see. Methinks the weather is glorious in most of the UK, as Mother Nature's protective cloak knows nothing of any man-made north south divide, like the erring politicians; although I live in the SW now. At one time I had a strong affinity for the North too, but many of the coal mining villages have been ruined through over-building with few open spaces remaining, overwhelming the charm and earnest austerity of the older stone buildings that now stand out more like sore thumbs; and then there was the closure of many community facilities, not just the pits, but swimming baths, tennis courts, etc. The lack and type of employment available is a big issue too. I had a great childhood up to 11-13, and would not dream of swapping it for anything, and have recently finished my second long duration and form of employment which was in the community; before that I was in the mines, and qualified in Chemical Engineering. Approaching retirement now, but I have been concussed for a no of yrs with ME/CFS; but decided a few months ago, despite normally being COMPLETELY ADVERSE TO SOCIAL TEXTING/FACEBOOK ETC, to make a few comments, to improve my writing. It may take a long time, but I recently recalled a childhood wish ... to learn to write, and write some books if possible. I feel that this is my Calling for now on, until I am well enough to move on, and start my third life in some spiritual community somewhere, say Scotland or Abroad, say a place of 300-800 people in size. There hopefully, I can bring my former skills to bear, as I unearth them again for one last hurrah in service to the Creative Will, as I pine to work so hard for such a community that I implode in the form of spontaneous combustion, and go up in smoke-no need for any burial. Even the great Tommy Cooper would be proud of that kind of ending to my life. As I ponder on the writing aspects, exchanging comments with you has reminded me how much I would enjoy writing something about the North, and those days and times in the mines, but it needs to be meaningful and prophetic, and proffer me the opportunity to help people in some way. Healing is in my heart, my mind, my hands and my blood; but I know that this can express itself in many curious ways, of course.

  50. PART TOW... Ironic, I read a little of DH Lawrence last night, and I sense he will give me some ideas of verbage, style, characterisations, and maybe plots too, on any social commentaries that I decide to make through books, although there are lots of ideas in my head, from the Miner's Strike, for example. Also, I have to learn to read again, then write, so it's going to take a few yrs before I can begin to produce anything with genuine merit, but I am in a state of determined contemplation, akin to David Duckham who in the Ba Baas match vs the All Blacks in 1972 at Cardiff Arms Park, picked up the ball to attack the opposition lines from deep, and as he did so the Welsh commentator waxed lyrical of his potent skills, and declared to the nation, or all viewers in the nation at the time...that this man has many obstacles before him.... but he's PREPARED. Thus, I am in a state of PREPATION for a Journey that I do not know yet where it shall take me, but I shall endeavour to find it as I move along with the tide that carries me forth. So currently, I am buying books on the topics that I am interested in, and on how to write; be it books, short stories, plays, films, TV, whatever comes my way. really The topics I really like are the social aspects from the industrial revolution and how that developed the character of the mining communities, and how these were later destroyed by the system, highlighting the competing value systems. Same with the natives in the US, and the issues there caused by the White man, so something alike Dances with Wolves, although both Tecumseh and Crazy Horse were special personages, and their stories deeply spiritual. The same with the Celts and the Romans; then there are spiritual stories I have that I would like to integrate under in a series, or films, somehow. I particularly like the endings of El Cid and Last of the Mohicans, as well as all the films of Lord of the Rings, Kingdom of Heaven, and a few others. Perhaps, if it is not too far fetched, I could begin a story in a place that appears as real as the earth, but it is set on a higher plane of creation, as the main protagonist talks with his spiritual gurus about the fight between light and darkness, and how he can best intervene and help. For these people are able to perceive the future, if men continue weaving their erroneous deeds into the soil of the earthly and astral planes Then he incarnates at different times of the world's history, to try and change people, before it is too late for men. Thus, I can use the stories I already have on Buddha and others, and reintroduce similar themes. Do I write complete truth though, or am I allowed to adapt it somewhat? Anyway, I thought I would mention these things, as you mentioned my writing style, and I am still in the very early planning stage before setting out on the real writing journey, joyous at the chance to fulfil, yet apprehensive too. If I do something every day, and formulate a good plan, the anxiety will wane I'm sure, as I shall become increasingly confident though the visible progress I make, as I become more proficient at these story-telling skills. If you have even the smallest piece of advice, I am all ears, as I sense you are a reader, or certainly appreciative of good prose? Do you think I need a tutor at some pt, or would you make your own plans, and follow them. I am actually following the guidelines of one author who writes, and teaches for the Arvon Trust, and they do courses on-line when I am ready, but I do prefer to work along than in groups. It's so long since I wrote, although I was doing a degree and a Masters about 13 yrs ago, which improved my formal writing; but creative writing is different, although I am sure some of the skills are transferable. You don't have to reply by the way, I was just curious, and after making a comment to a Hallmark movie, I asked about 6 people from the reply column, how would they change the film, and what was good about it, and what were they looking for in a film. Strange that only one man replied, an Englishman, who told me that he felt the most important thing to write about is how someone came to change their lives around. So what happened, how did it happen, and how did these events steer them into a new way of life that led them through fields that of happiness blessed with dancing daffodils in the glorious sun, beside gurgling brooks and streams that meandered across meadows of undimmed beauty that sang in praise to their Creator's hand, He Who had bestowed and bequeathed this land to the human spirit as a Temple of God.  @ciganyweaverandherperiwink6293
