@iociccio936 Extremely rare for any shoot out here, as very, very few people have guns, and those who do are checked out, although not always as rigorously as one would like. We had a guy in my city who took out about same no as this shootout, but worse thing was, he'd just had his licence renewed, so would have meant to have been checked by police. Yet, despite logged anger issues, they let him have his gun licence back. So we're not perfect here, but guns have never been a major issue here, although they are creeping into some rough neighbourhoods linked to drugs, but still quite uncommon, unless I'm missing something. Stabbing culture in few major cities I think is linked to usual urban issues, such as deprivation, gangs and drugs, although Glasgow was for many yrs the King of stabbings, which went back hundreds of yrs. A tough environment, and tough guys, many of whom went onto N Ireland, then the US, where they finally beat the British...with GUNS!!! Funny old world!

@iociccio936 Ohh, I do know that stabbings increased some yrs ago as a result of refugees, including in my city, who came from a knife culture back home. Perhaps fear when moving to another environment increases these issues, as it must be hard not to revert to type, so if you carry a gun or knife everywhere you go, for protection, it seems even more important in a new place that seems strange, and where the threat seems bigger, even if the place is far less dangerous. I wonder if the old tribes of native Indians would carry their bows and arrows around, if allowed...and if so, would they need a licence?
